The European Le Mans Series (ELMS) have published their calendar for the coming season. The calendar features Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya as the opening round of the 2021 season, on 17 and 18 April.
The prestigious event, which already visited the Catalan racetrack in 2019 after a 10-year absence, and was supposed to come back in 2020 if it were not for the health-situation and the pandemic, will be returning filled with attractive races. The 4 Hours of Barcelona will be the icing on the cake, showing the true spirit of endurance with the prototypes and GTs.
Moreover, the ELMS will be putting themselves to the test a couple of days before, at the official tests. The world championship track will be hosting the tests on Monday 12 and Tuesday 13.
Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, together with the organisation and local authorities will be looking after the public health criteria in order to ensure the safety and health of all those involved in the event. Likewise, the Barcelona racetrack is already working on a way to let fans enjoy this show live and on site in a few months.
