Oriol Sagrera i Saula is appointed CEO of Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya

With the aim of accelerating the transformation of the Circuit based on the Strategic Plan, which is committed to a more sustainable, digital, innovative and industrial model.

Oriol Sagrera i Saula, Secretary General of the Department of Business and Labour of the Generalitat de Catalunya, has been appointed CEO of Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya at an extraordinary Board of Directors meeting held this afternoon with the support of all public and private partners. Sagrera has been a member of the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya Board for two years and has led the transformation of the facility in the field of digitalisation and sustainability.

The appointment of this new figure in the Board of Directors responds to the will to accelerate the transformation of the Circuit following the bases of the Strategic Plan, which was launched last October. The plan aims to make Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya more environmentally and economically sustainable, with a clear commitment to digitalisation and diversification of activities, and to become a key infrastructure for the automotive industry, innovation and talent attraction.

Oriol Sagrera i Saula (Barcelona, 1986) is a lawyer, has worked in several law firms and has worked as a collaborating lecturer at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. He is currently Secretary General of the Department of Business and Labour of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Second Vice-President of the Zona Franca Consortium, member of the General Council of Fira de Barcelona and patron of the Fundació Barcelona Capital Nàutica AC-24.
