The Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya de MotoGP will feature a Fan Fest in Barcelona

The 2026 Monster Energy Catalan MotoGP Grand Prix is already underway. The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya held the official launch today at the Sant Pau Modernist Complex (Recinto Modernista de Sant Pau), in an event that marks the start of a new edition of this world championship round – the 35th – which will take place from 15 to 17 May at the Catalan circuit.

The big news this year will be the MotoGP Fan Fest Barcelona, an event open to the public that will bring the Grand Prix atmosphere to the city centre.

The event was attended by Miquel Sàmper, Catalan Minister for Business and Labour and President of Circuits de Catalunya; Pau Relat, Chairman of the Board at Fira de Barcelona and Fira Circuit; and Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of MotoGP Sports Entertainment Group.

The institutional representatives were joined by Pol Gibert, Secretary General of the Catalan Ministry of Business and Labour and CEO of Circuits de Catalunya; Pere Rodríguez, Mayor of Montmeló; Anna Maria Martínez, Deputy for Economic Promotion at the Barcelona Provincial Council; Nadia Quevedo, Commissioner for Economic Promotion at the Barcelona City Council; and Josep Mateu, President of the RACC.

From the world of sports, the event was attended by KTM test rider and 2013 Moto2™ World Champion Pol Espargaró.

MotoGP Fan Fest Barcelona

For the first time, Barcelona will host the MotoGP Fan Fest, which will take place on 13 and 14 May in Plaça de Catalunya. Over the course of two days, the venue will be transformed into a meeting point for fans, offering activities, music, live broadcasts and experiences related to the World Championship, suitable for all ages.

A particular highlight will be Meet the Riders, scheduled for Wednesday afternoon, which will bring together some of the championship’s biggest names. Taking part will be the current MotoGP World Champion, Marc Márquez; the runner-up, Álex Márquez; and other leading riders, including Pedro Acosta, Álex Rins and Joan Mir. They will share the stage with fans in an open, interactive session.

Moto2 and Moto3 riders will also participate, further expanding the World Championship’s presence at this event.

Entertainment at the Circuit

Once again, the Grand Prix at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya will feature a wide range of additional activities for all ages. Established events such as the Pit Walk, the Open Track, the Hero Walk and the Riders Fan Parade will be joined by various entertainment zones, including the Kids Zone, the Green Zone and the Monster Energy Area. These initiatives strengthen the connection between MotoGP riders and fans watching the Grand Prix live at the Catalan circuit.

New for this year, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is launching the Pelouse Jove: a space designed to introduce the younger generation to motorsport. Located at Turn 4, this initiative combines watching the on-track action with a variety of additional leisure activities in a vibrant setting designed for young people and offering affordable prices.
