The date for the Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya de MotoGP has now been set. From 11 to 13 June, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya will once again host the premier class of motorcycling, in a weekend that promises to be very special given the context in which it will take place.

The 2027 season will mark the start of a new era for MotoGP™ with new technical regulations that will transform the bikes in the category. The new machines will have reduced engine capacity, from 1,000 cc to 850 cc; height-adjustment devices will be eliminated; aerodynamics will be scaled back; and Pirelli will become the new tyre supplier, amongst other novelties.

Alongside this technical revolution, there will be a major reshuffle of the starting grid, with several of the championship’s biggest names switching teams. Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia will join Aprilia, Pedro Acosta will join Ducati, Jorge Martín will join Yamaha, Fabio Quartararo will join Honda, and Álex Márquez will join KTM. Up-and-coming talents such as David Alonso, Dani Holgado, Izan Guevara and Senna Agius will make the leap to the premier class, while Nicolò Bulega will join MotoGP™ following his time in WorldSBK™. Meanwhile, Marc Márquez will remain with Ducati, sharing a garage with Acosta.

The championship is thus set to face a season full of unknowns, with teams adapting to new technical specifications and tyres, and riders debuting new projects. Against this backdrop, the Catalan Grand Prix will take place at a crucial stage of the championship, offering fans the chance to see first-hand how this new generation of MotoGP is evolving.

On 11, 12 and 13 June 2027, fans will once again enjoy a full weekend of racing, featuring MotoGP™, Moto2™ and Moto3™, along with all the activities that make the Catalan Grand Prix an experience that goes far beyond the track.

Tickets for theGran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya de MotoGP 2027 will go on sale in the coming weeks, with options to suit all tastes. Fans will be able to choose from a range of grandstand and general admission seating options, as well as enjoy very different areas of the circuit to experience the racing from unique perspectives and find the option that best suits their preferences.
