Mobility and Access Plan to the Circuit for the Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya de MotoGP 2026
The Circuit wants to make it easier for people to get in and out with special mobility arrangements, changes to the parking system, and enhanced public transport scheduling with free buses from Montmeló station and Parets.
12 May, 2026 | MotoGP
Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya will implement a series of measures for the Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya de MotoGP 2026 as regards mobility and access to the sports venue to improve traffic flow, especially for private vehicles during peak hours of the event, and to encourage the use of public transport.
PRIVATE VEHICLE – PARKING AND ACCESS SYSTEM
Traffic arrangements
In order to speed up the entry of vehicles to the Circuit, the access to the venue will be reinforced on roads such as AP-7, C-33, C-17 and C-35 with continuous controls to guide users with access to parking, staff and other groups, preventing the entry and diverting the traffic of those who do not have parking accreditation or personal accreditation for the event. For the exit, all roads will have the function of evacuating the sports venue, preventing vehicles from entering it (starting with the Sprint Race on Saturday and the MotoGP race on Sunday).
It is important to note that attendees should follow only the instructions of the police officers and the road signs, as GPS navigation systems may provide incorrect information (road closures, blocked access points, etc.).
Spectator parking with online purchase
Spectator parking can be purchased online on the Circuit’s official ticket platform. The ticket obtained will serve as proof of vehicle registration and must be presented to the control staff in either digital or printed format. These staff members will then issue a sticker to indicate that the vehicle is correctly parked.
This spectator car park is a single, very large area that will fill up according to the order of arrival of attendees and as directed by the staff on site. Please note that you will not be able to access the perimeter of the Circuit with a private vehicle without previously purchasing a parking space ticket. Once you have parked your vehicle, you can access the venue on foot through any of the Circuit gates.
Free parking for motorbikes
Motorbikes are parked free of charge and no purchase or action is required. Parking areas are located in Car Park H1 (with access from the C-17 road) and in the spectator car park, with a reserved area for motorcycles.
Taxi ranks
In addition, the Circuit has also set up two taxi ranks: one next to the West entrance and Gate 1, and another near the East entrance and Gate 3. This means that visitors arriving by taxi will be able to get right up to both of the Circuit’s main entrance gates.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT – FREE SERVICES
Reinforced public transport schedule
As always, the Circuit recommends the use of public transport to reach its facilities. For the occasion, both Rodalies de Catalunya (train) and Sagalés (bus) will offer a wide range of services:
- Rodalies de Catalunya (train)
On 16 and 17 May, Rodalies de Catalunya will provide a total of 64,800 additional seats, boosting services on the R2 and R2 North lines to 4 trains per hour in each direction:
- Saturday, 16 May: between 7.00 a.m. and 11.00 a.m. and between 4.00 p.m. and 6.00 p.m.
- Sunday, 17 May: between 6.00 a.m. and 11.00 a.m. and between 3.00 p.m. and 7.00 p.m.
This service guarantees an average frequency of 15 minutes in each direction on the Montmeló–Barcelona route during peak times.
To make buying tickets easier and quicker, Rodalies has programmed the ticket machines so that the first ticket option to appear on the screen is a return ticket to Montmeló.
- Sagalés (bus)
Autocares Sagalés also offers its services to attend the Grand Prix. The buses will leave from Barcelona city centre, specifically from the North Bus Station (Estació de Nord, C/Ali Bei, 80). This location allows connection with the metro and the Rodalies train services, as the Station is located next to Arc de Triomf. The ticket price is €27. The service will be available from 8.00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday and from 7.00 a.m. on Sunday.
These buses also leave from the coast of Barcelona (specifically from Lloret de Mar), and pass through several towns up to the Circuit, arriving next to Gate 3 (service available on Saturday and Sunday). The ticket price is €40.
Bookings can be made at Sagalés (tel. 902 13 00 14 / www.sagales.com).
Free bus service from Montmeló station and from Parets to the Circuit
To encourage the use of public transport, the Circuit will be running a free bus service from Montmeló railway station and from the football ground in Parets to the circuit.
In the case of Montmeló, the stop will be located near Gate 6 (Calle Can Esteve) and, in the case of Parets, on Calle Impremta, with Gate 7 being the nearest access point. This service will be available from 8:00 a.m. from Friday to Sunday during the Grand Prix.
This service will also be available for leaving the Circuit once track activities have finished. In the event of congestion on the roads leading out of the Circuit, the service may be suspended if it is impossible to provide the service. Additionally, on the Saturday of the GP, the service will be suspended from 4.30 p.m. due to traffic restrictions in the municipality of Montmeló.
