The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya today unveiled the official poster for the FORMULA 1 MSC CRUISES GRAN PREMIO DE BARCELONA-CATALUNYA 2026, a design rich in symbolism and conceived as a collector’s item, created by illustrator David de las Heras.
The Barcelona circuit thus reaffirms its commitment to establishing the Grand Prix as one of the city’s major sporting and cultural events of the year, promoting the identity of Barcelona and Catalonia internationally through Formula 1®. At the same time, this initiative aims to strengthen the bond between the race and the city, as well as with all the fans, through initiatives such as the Formula 1 Barcelona Fan Village.
With this aim in mind, and with the desire to create a unique new edition, the official 2026 image evokes the excitement of racing by capturing the moment when three cars approach the finish line under the watchful gaze of the crowd. The scene is set in the Circuit’s most iconic stand, the Main Grandstand, where all the fans’ energy is concentrated.
In the background, Barcelona is depicted with some of its most recognisable landmarks: the Sagrada Familia —finally completed—, Frank Gehry’s Golden Fish and the W Barcelona Hotel, thus establishing a visual dialogue between the race and the city that is hosting it once again.
The artwork aims to capture not only the sporting intensity of the Formula 1® World Championship, but also the Mediterranean, creative and open-minded character of Barcelona, a city closely associated with major international events. The poster thus becomes the iconic image of an event that aims to bring together spectacle, culture and excitement both inside and outside the Circuit.
