The Formula 1® Barcelona Fan Village kicks off in the run-up to the Grand Prix

Located in Plaça de Catalunya, the venue will be open from 9 to 13 June and offers free access by invitation.

The city is already celebrating the arrival of F1®. In just a few days’ time, the Formula 1® Barcelona Fan Village will open at the iconic Plaça de Catalunya. Once again this year, the venue will host a variety of activities for all tastes and ages related to the pinnacle of motorsport.

From Tuesday 9 June until Saturday 13 June, the Village will be open from 12 noon to 9 p.m., welcoming anyone keen to find out more about Formula 1. Entry is free with a downloaded invitation. Citizens and families will be able to enjoy Formula 1® like never before, with activities, exhibitions, concerts, programmes and workshops related to the sport.

Activities and proposals

The Village will be the heart of the F1® universe, offering visitors a wide variety of activities.

  • F1® Activations: Formula 1 is bringing some of its most exciting attractions, including simulators, a podium-style photo opportunity and the Pit Stop Challenge, as well as show cars from the premier class.
  • Teams and stands in attendance: The Village will also feature teams such as Aston Martin, as well as areas dedicated to Santander and Monlau.
  • Kids Zone: Younger visitors will enjoy activities such as Scalextric tracks and various workshops, including cardboard car-making and face painting.
  • Live music: the Village stage will host artists such as DJ Arla, The Soulful Trio, Sidral Street Brass Band, DJ Dolça, DJ Giselz, Compota de Manana, DJ Txarly Brown and Muchacho & los Sobrinos. The highlight will be the Philharmonia Orchestra of London’s concert on Thursday at 8.30 pm, where they will perform “84 Bells of Gaudí”, a piece composed in honour of the architect to mark the centenary of his death. They will also perform many other works, including the official F1 theme tune.
  • F1® broadcasts: For true fans of the championship, there will be a live broadcast of the timed practice sessions for the Barcelona-Catalunya GP on Saturday 13 June.
  • Programmes and talks: on Tuesday 9 June, from 10 a.m., Radio Marca will broadcast live from the Village “La Pizarra de Quintana” and will feature a very special guest, Pedro Martínez de la Rosa (access by invitation from the station). The former driver and ambassador for the Aston Martin Aramco team will also meet fans visiting the Village at 1 p.m.In the afternoon, Albert Fàbrega will host his FABREGALECCIONES from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Food and drink: there will be a food and drink area within the Village so that attendees don’t have to go anywhere else and can enjoy the full experience.
  • Official shops: both F1® and the Circuit will have official merchandise stands for those wishing to take home a unique souvenir of the event.

Free invitation download

Although entry is free, anyone wishing to attend the Formula 1® Barcelona Fan Village must download a free invitation, as capacity is limited.

An invitation grants unlimited access to the Village as long as capacity allows. If the established capacity is exceeded, the organisation reserves the right to temporarily restrict access for safety reasons. Access to the venue will not be permitted without the invitation.
