Today, Formula 1 and the FIA announced the dates for the 2026 F1® pre-season testing. There will be three tests next year. The first, featuring all the teams in the Formula 1 World Championship, will take place at the Circuit from 26 to 30 January.
Renowned as an ideal track for fine-tuning F1® single-seaters, the Circuit will be the first venue where the new cars will take to the track. The five-day private test will allow teams to test new units created under the new regulations.
The 2026 Formula 1 Regulations introduce significant changes focused on aerodynamics, the power unit and sustainability. The cars will be shorter and lighter, with active aerodynamics and greater electric power in their engines, as well as using 100% sustainable fuel.
The test at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya will provide an opportunity to draw initial conclusions before the 2026 season begins.
The other two F1® pre-season tests will be held at the Bahrain International Circuit from 11 to 13 February and from 18 to 20 February.
