The Barcelona-Catalunya GP increases its focus on entertainment

Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya will offer fans a complete experience, ranging from the Fan Zones with activities for all ages, to the traditional Pit Walk and Open Track, as well as entertainment areas spread around the circuit.

5 June, 2026 | Formula 1

The FORMULA 1 MSC CRUISES GRAN PREMIO DE BARCELONA-CATALUNYA 2026 is set to be a major celebration of motorsport, offering a unique experience to all attendees with entertainment and fun taking centre stage as never before.

The Fan Zone expands its offerings

The traditional Fan Zone, located in the public area behind the Main Grandstand, is the main attraction at each edition, with activities for all tastes. For the occasion, the world championship will have an additional Fan Zone next to Grandstand N. This will allow the F1 activities to reach different parts of the track.

This year’s event will feature eSports simulators, recreations of a podium and selfies with the drivers, wind tunnel simulations and the opportunity to see a single-seater car and a championship trophy. In addition, the pit stop challenge -a challenge featuring LED lights- will be back.

Furthermore, a stage will be set up in each Fan Zone, offering a different line-up of music, performances and entertainment. In addition, some of the event’s key figures (drivers and team principals) will be interviewed on Friday and Saturday in front of any fans who wish to attend, in what is known as the Fan Forum.

The main stage (behind the Main Grandstand) will host artists such as DJ Lzztto, DJ Janse, DJ Gee Beat. On Sunday, Pedro de la Rosa will make an appearance at 10.55 am, whilst Sidral Brass, Marss and Ale Daunis will also be performing. The other stage will feature Los Dalton, Rumba Explosion and the Sant Andreu Jazz Band.

One of the biggest moments of the weekend is happening on this Barcelona GP

On 13 June at 5:30 PM, Alan Walker arrives at the Barcelona Fan Zone (behind the main grandstand) to perform “The Sting Within Me” live. Catch it in person at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Qualifying Day or stream it live on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.

One circuit, different entertainment areas

Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya continues to offer a wide range of spaces throughout the circuit where there will be endless entertainment.

The Green Zone and the Kids Zone will be located in the area of the Crater Forest. In the first area, activities will focus on sustainability and the environment. In the second area, visitors will be able to see a life-size white single-seater car installation, which will serve as a canvas for children to stick small pieces of paper onto, imitating Gaudí’s characteristic style on the centenary of his death. Children will also find wooden games, archery and various workshops such as face painting and bubble-blowing.

At the former Heliport (green area behind Grandstand B) there will be another hub of activities for the whole family, with photo booths, face-painting corners and games such as table football and skittles.

This year, the Pelouse Jove (Turn 4 area) is once again being brought to life by Santander. There will be a giant screen to follow the action on the track, live music, a photocall and more.

In addition, ZeBrass, a marching band from Vilanova i la Geltrú, will be setting the pace along the entire route with their travelling performance.

Pit Walk and Open Track, two unique experiences

As usual, on Thursday 29 May from 5:45 p.m. to 5:15 p.m., the Pit Walk will take place, allowing fans to access the pit lane, where some World Championship drivers are expected to be present. To ensure the smooth running of the activity, attendance will be limited by free invitations available to download from the Circuit website, which are already sold out. Those without a free invitation will not be able to access the Circuit or participate in the activity, even if they have a ticket for the GP.  Buyers with the Pit Walk Experience included will have priority access half an hour earlier.

The grand finale will be the Open Track, during which attendees will have the chance to access the track once the Formula 1 race has finished, which will take place on Sunday 14 June at 3:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity to take part in the podium ceremony, as you will be able to enter the main straight and any other point on the track. Several access points will be set up in the public areas for this purpose. MonDJ will be setting the beat for the Open Track from the stage with his live performance.
