In view of the continued global spread of COVID-19 and after ongoing discussions with Formula 1 and the FIA, it has today been confirmed that the FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA 2020 will be postponed.
Due to the ongoing and fluid nature of the COVID-19 situation globally, Formula 1, the FIA and the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya have taken this decision in order to ensure the health and safety of the travelling staff, championship participants and fans, which remains our primary concern.
Formula 1 and the FIA continue to work closely with affected promoters and local authorities to monitor the situation and take the appropriate amount of time to study the viability of potential alternative dates for each Grand Prix later in the year should the situation improve.
Formula 1 and the FIA expect to begin the 2020 Championship season as soon as it’s safe to do so after May and will continue to regularly monitor the ongoing COVID-19 situation.
All tickets for the FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA 2020 will continue to be valid, without any additional formality. As soon as the new date of the Grand Prix is confirmed, all spectators will be informed accordingly about the available options, both for those who have purchased their ticket through the Circuit’s website (www.circuitcat.com) and through other channels.

Compte tenu de la propagation mondiale du COVID-19 et, après les délibérations menées avec la Formule 1 et la FIA, il a été confirmé aujourd’hui que le FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA 2020 est reporté.
La Formule 1, la FIA et le Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya ont pris cette décision au regard de la situation actuelle et du caractère incertain des circonstances liées à la propagation du COVID-19 dans le monde entier, afin d’assurer la santé et la sécurité du personnel qui voyage, des participants au championnat et des fans, qui sont notre principale préoccupation.
La Formule 1 et la FIA continueront leur étroite collaboration avec le Circuit, ainsi qu’avec le reste des promoteurs affectés, et des autorités locales afin de surveiller l’évolution de la situation, en tenant compte d’une durée judicieuse pour analyser la viabilité des éventuelles dates alternatives pour chaque Grand Prix tout au long de l’année, si la situation s’améliore.
La Formule 1 et la FIA espèrent lancer la saison 2020 du Championnat dès que possible après le mois de mai, et continueront à surveiller régulièrement la situation concernant le COVID-19.
Toutes les entrées pour le FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA 2020 seront toujours valables, aucune démarche additionnelle ne sera nécessaire. Dès que la nouvelle date du Grand Prix sera confirmée, tous les spectateurs seront informés des différentes possibilités, aussi bien pour les personnes ayant acquis l’entrée sur le site Internet du Circuit (www.circuitcat.com) ou à travers les autres canaux.
