Last Sunday, 15 June, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya hosted the test and official launch of the 2025 24H Moto Barcelona Catalunya Martimotos, which will take place on 5 and 6 July at the Catalan track.
With just three weeks to go, the new promoter of the event presented what is set to be one of the most memorable editions of the legendary endurance race. This will be a special edition, not only because it is the 30th, but also because of the change in its name and the many new features that will accompany it both on and off the track.
The official 24-hour test was also held this past Sunday, with 19 of the teams registered to take part in this prestigious motorcycle race, which will feature a large international representation. This official test is one of the big new features this year. It gave riders and teams the opportunity to ride and work in track and temperature conditions similar to those they will face during the race.
At the end of the afternoon session, the traditional official launch photo was taken at the finish line, attended by all the teams participating in the test and the event’s managing authorities: Ignasi Armengol, General Manager of Fira Circuit; Salvador Prat, President of the Catalan Motorcycle Federation; Martino Martínez, General Manager of the race’s main sponsor, Martimotos; and Patxi Larrea, CEO of Fly Actions, the event’s promoter.
Ignasi Armengol, General Manager at Fira Circuit: “For the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, it is important to continue the endurance racing legacy left to us by Montjuïc, which has been upheld here since 1995. That is why we are providing all the necessary support for this new chapter in the history of this classic event on the calendar for local fans and the entire Circuit.”
Salvador Prat, President of the Catalan Motorcycle Federation: “Hosting an internationally important endurance race is a huge success for Catalan motorcycling. The 24 Hours has always presented our riders and teams with a valuable opportunity to compete on a world-class stage like the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. With a full entry list including thirteen local teams, the 2025 edition is already a sporting success.”
Martino Martínez, General Manager at Martimotos: “As the main sponsors of the race, we at Martimotos are very happy with how the event is developing and the direction it is taking. Now all that’s left to do is get started and join the fans and teams at this great motorcycle festival.”
Patxi Larrea, CEO of Fly Actions: “The official test day we held is a new feature for 2025—one of many improvements we plan to introduce in the renewed 24 Hours. This new era would not be possible without the support of Fira Circuit, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, FCM, and Martimotos. Everything is almost ready for the big weekend. We look forward to seeing you on July 5 and 6!”
