Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is becoming established as host to a round of the FIA Rallycross World Championship. For the third year in a row, the fastest growing car racing World Championship will be visiting this weekend the international racetrack in Barcelona.
On 1 and 2 April, the action at the Circuit will be located in the Stadium Area, which holds a specifically created layout for this sports modality that combines an almost 1-km long section of asphalt with gravel sections and a spectacular jump. More than 60 drivers will be facing each other during the weekend in more than 80 different races of the WorldRX, EuroRX and European Touring Car championships.
But the Barcelona World RX offers much more than only competition, as there will be activities for all those attending. To start with, this series is a championship that intends to be very close to the public, allowing spectators to walk along the paddock without the need to purchase an extra ticket. Thus, everybody wishing to do so will be able to have a closer look at how the world championship teams work, take pictures of the cars, watch the drivers up close, etc. Moreover, there will be an autograph session in the paddock on both days, making it really easy to have pictures taken with the great stars and get a fantastic souvenir from the event.
The FIA Rallycross World Championship does also include a fan zone with shops and brands of the sector, a Monster space with the Monster Rig Riot (show with Monster drivers, during which some presents are going to be given away). Meanwhile, on the track, spectators will be able to enjoy a show of classic rally cars, watch the Californian driver Casey Currie with his Monster Truck and a driver’s parade with legendary cars.
All of this is possible with tickets at a very affordable price, from 25€ onwards, in addition to several special packs that are available for groups of friends and families. Purchasing the tickets before 31 March gives you the chance to save more than 15€.
