Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya organised during the eight Formula One Test Days several activities to help different organisations. A total of 2,200 euros were gathered for the Wings for Life foundation, 800 kg of food were donated to El Xiprer de Granollers, 900 people with disabilities from special centres were given the chance to visit the Circuit, an agreement was signed with the General Secretariat for Sports to have around 4,000 primary school children attend the Circuit and, together with the Blood and Tissue Bank, a blood donation campaign was organised, with the result of 1,113 donations.

The Toro Rosso driver Carlos Sainz offered a speech during a special day on which 22 persons got the chance to meet the Madrid-born diver. The 2,200 euros that were raised went directly to Wings for Life a non-profit organisation that raises funds for research work on bone marrow injuries.

In order not to waste large amounts of food, the Circuit donated 800 kg of food which had not been consumed to El Xiprer de Granollers, a social dining house that provides food to the most needed people. The Circuit as well as the team Mercedes, Haas and Red Bull donated all the food that had not been consumed during the eight test days to this foundation, which is going to distribute it among all those people in Granollers and surroundings, who are in need.

As a result of an agreement signed between the General Secretariat for Sports and Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, which opens the participation of the volunteers of the Catalan Sports Plan, around 4,000 schoolchildren were able to visit the Circuit during the Formula One Test Days, who filled the facilities with young students every day.

Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya did also sign an agreement with the Department for Social Welfare and Family, as a consequence of which 900 people with disabilities were able to watch Formula 1 up close.   Most of the 27 Special Centres that visited the Circuit are from the province of Barcelona.

The Circuit also promoted the donation of blood during the two weeks before the Formula One Test Days. Together with the Blood and Tissue Bank, people were encouraged to donate blood giving an entry ticket to each donor. In addition, a mobile blood donating unit was set-up at the Circuit on the last test day. A total of 1,113 donations were received as a result of this campaign.
