Formula 1® has today announced the opening eight races of the 2020 calendar, which has been approved by the FIA, confirming the staging of the FORMULA 1 ARAMCO GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA 2020 from 14 to 16 August at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
Following the postponement of the FIA Formula 1 World Championship due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, and consequently, of the Grand Prix scheduled for 10 May, the Circuit has been working closely with Formula 1 in order to be able to return to racing in the safest way. Thus, Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya will now be hosting the sixth round of the new calendar of the 2020 season, which is currently made-up of eight races in Europe, but is expected to include a total of 15 to 18 races before the end of the season.
Due to the current situation worldwide, the 30th edition of the Grand Prix on the Catalan racetrack will be held without spectator attendance, as the health and safety of all involved continues to be priority number one. The FIA and Formula 1 have a robust and detailed plan to ensure that the races of the Word Championship maintain the highest level of safety with strict procedures in place during the staging of the Grands Prix.
All fans holding tickets for the FORMULA 1 ARAMCO GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA 2020 have different options available, including the refund of their tickets. From 15 June, an online platform will be made available to make the respective requests.

La Formula 1® a aujourd’hui rendu officielles les huit premières courses du calendrier modifié de la saison 2020, approuvé par la FIA, et dans lequel est confirmé le déroulement du FORMULA 1 ARAMCO GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA 2020 du 14 au 16 août sur le Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
Après le report du Championnat du Monde FIA de Formula 1 en raison de la pandémie de COVID-19 et, par conséquent, du Grand Prix prévu pour le 10 mai, le Circuit a travaillé en étroite collaboration avec la Formula 1 afin de pouvoir retrouver la compétition de la manière la plus sûre possible. Ainsi, le Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya accueillera la sixième épreuve du nouveau calendrier de la saison 2020 qui, bien que pour l’instant ne se compose que de huit Grands Prix sur le territoire européen, s’attend à avoir un total de 15-18 courses à la fin de la saison.
La conjoncture actuelle et la situation au niveau mondial feront que la 30ème édition du Grand Prix sur le tracé catalan se déroulera sans la présence des spectateurs, la sécurité et la santé de toutes les personnes concernées étant la plus haute priorité. La FIA et la Formula 1 disposent d’un programme solide et détaillé afin d’assurer que les courses du Championnat du Monde maintiennent les normes à un niveau optimal avec l’application de procédures de sécurité strictes lors du déroulement des Grands Prix.
Les spectateurs ayant des entrées pour le FORMULA 1 ARAMCO GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA 2020 disposent de différentes options, ils se verront notamment proposer le remboursement. La demande correspondante pourra être réalisée à travers une plateforme online qui sera disponible à partir du 15 juin.
