Formula 1

Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya wants all attendants of the FORMULA 1 EMIRATES GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA 2019 to enjoy all the opportunities offered by the sports event. The public shouldn’t miss the chance to meet their idols, some of the best race drivers of the world, who will be from 9 to 12 May at the Catalan racetrack to race the fifth round of the FIA Formula 1 World Championship™.

On Thursday 9 May, the Circuit will give the start signal for the 29th edition of the F1® Spanish Grand Prix with an afternoon filled with attractions. The world championship track will open the gates to have the expected autograph session from 16 to 18 h. The place chosen for the session is the stage of the Fan Zone, in the commercial area behind the Main Grandstand. All drivers will come out to this place to greet the attendants. The public will be organised according to the team and the drivers they wish to ask for an autograph (space limited to 40 or 80 people per team). The distribution will be made before 16.00h by means of identifying wristbands to make sure that everyone is able to take this chance in an orderly and easy way.

At the same time, the Pit Lane of the Circuit will be opened to all fans wishing to have a closer look at the pit garages with all the vehicles of the championship ready and set to start the track activity on the following day. The Pit Lane walkabout will be available from 16 to 18.30h. All holders of a ticket for a Grand Prix, VIP pass, Circuit Member or Official card, will have access to these activities.

On Saturday 11 May, the same venue (Fan Zone), will be host to the Fan Forum, from 18 to 19h. The drivers of the World Championship will be back on the stage to be interviewed and share their feelings after the staging of the Qualifying Session of the Spanish Grand Prix.

To round off the weekend, there will be additional chances to watch the leading figures of the weekend on Sunday 12. A few minutes before the race, all of them will take part in the Drivers’ Parade and make a complete lap around the track to wave at all the attendants. Once the winner of this year’s race has been decided, the Open Track will allow all spectators to get onto the track to walk around and access all of its corners. After the chequered flag has been shown, all those coming to the Main Straight will have the chance to witness the prize-giving ceremony and the celebration on the podium.
