With a bit more than two weeks left for the arrival of the Formula 1 World Championship at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, we are starting to learn more about the activities that will be supporting the race to turn the weekend into a party full of energy, fun, music and engines, in a pleasant and singular atmosphere for all ages. There will be a non-stop programme for the whole day to let all ticket-holders, as well as Circuit Members, enjoy throughout the weekend.
Music will obviously be the constant companion of the event, and this year, the access to the facilities will be made with happiness, excitement and especially with a lot of noise. And not only the noise of the cars, but also that of the batucadas that will be welcoming all attendants at the access gates of the Circuit and all over the spectator areas. The driving force of the batucadas will be the groups Tukantú (Barcelona), Tronats del Tabal (Rubí), No m’atabalis (Sant Feliu de Codines), Colla de Diables de Montmeló, Ball de Diables de Mollet and Diables de Parets.
The latter will also be featuring the dance of the daemons and the beast, which is part of a long and complex Catalan tradition. The magic of the masks and the energy of the daemons will delight all of the attendants. There will be a total of 25 drum players, 85 daemons and their beast, the dragon.
This Catalan tradition will also be joined by another universal emblem, namely the Castells, which have been recognised as World Immaterial Heritage. There will be three or four Castells (human towers) built along the day in different strategic points of the Circuit to let the public share the excitement and the values spread by traditions like this.
In addition to the drivers, fans will also have the chance to feel like protagonists during the FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA PIRELLI 2017, as there will be an exclusive space fitted with a podium to take pictures and a virtual reality simulator where they will have the chance to make a fast lap and feel the speed of the Circuit. There will also be an InstaVideo to capture the images and send them later to the protagonists. And that’s not all; in addition to the photo call fans will be able to take pictures with their idols with the real size silhouettes of some of the F1 stars to get a great souvenir of their favourite driver.
Gastronomy will also be present at the Circuit, in the space known as TapasGP, next to Grandstand I. This area will gather a large variety of high-quality culinary offers, with tapas, small dishes and tasting.
As regards artistic activities, there will be sketching session to make drawings in strategic locations of Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. He artist Santos de Veracruz will also make some paintings at the Circuit.
All of these and many other activities that are going to be confirmed during the next days will make up the animation programme during the FORMULA 1 GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA PIRELLI 2017. The intention is to have everyone coming out to Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya enjoy the best experience, both on the grandstands supporting their idols and all around the facilities of the Circuit.
