FIA and FIM give the go-ahead to the changes made on the Circuit’s track

Stuart Robertson and Franco Uncini, representatives of the respective federations, visited the track today and showing their satisfaction with the actions performed during the month of January.

Both the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) and the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) have given today the go-ahead to the changes made at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya during the month of January, mainly on Turn 10, in order to homologate the track for the 2021 season.

Stuart Robertson, as FIA Head of Circuit and Rally Safety, and Franco Uncini, as FIM Safety Officer, have been in charge of inspecting the track sections before the arrival of the stars of car and motorcycle racing during their 2021 world tour.

They both thanked for the performed actions and congratulated the Circuit for the works done, which look for a balance between both motorsport disciplines, always guaranteeing for the highest safety for all participants.

In addition to the new variant of Turn 10, which replaces the two existing variants, there were also a few smaller actions, as well as the change of the kerb in Turn 13, in compliance with the guidelines and requirements of the FIA.
